Gen 3 QuickShifter Issue. Hi Friends! I have a 2021 1290 Super Duke R with around 3,100 miles on it. I recently took her to the nearest KTM dealership to replace the rear tire, replace the battery tender lead, and siphon some coolant out of the reservoir. Coolant story: Noticed what appeared to be low coolant and decided to 'top off' the reservoir. I've had random failure of the quick shifter for the 2-3 shift since I purchased my 890R a few months back. Sometimes when attempting the 2-3 shift the engine cuts but the gear doesn't change. The second attempt always works. My dealer tried a KTM recommended fix today. Bottom line, I still have the random 2-3 quickshift miss. Changing gearing will also help it a bit, mine is a good deal less willing to keep both wheels down after shortening the gearing a bit. The quickshifter is really nice, but they are geared so damn tall I rarely use it. Even after going -1/+2 gearing, I rarely use it. Installation: About 1-2 hours - no case splitting required.
